The Hajar Mountains can experience different weather from the surrounding areas.

Avoid entering the wadi during heavy rain or when rain is expected. Seasonal water flow can make wadi routes unsafe.

The main approach is accessible by road, while the wadi exploration sections may require a suitable vehicle depending on the route and current conditions.

A 4WD is recommended if you plan to explore the wadi tracks beyond the main roads.

A Land Cruiser, Patrol, Prado or similar high-clearance 4WD is suitable for a proper wadi exploration trip.

Drive slowly around farms and settlements and avoid private tracks.

Tayyibah offers opportunities for short climbs and walks along the wadi.

You don't necessarily need to plan a full-day hike. Park safely, walk up one of the accessible rocky sections and enjoy the view from above.
