About this trail
📍 About this Trail
There is something special about starting a hike before the day properly begins.
Pennukonda in the early morning is one of those experiences where the cool air, quiet surroundings and rocky landscape make the climb feel completely different from hiking later in the day.
We started early, before the heat became intense.
The first part of the hike was comfortable, but as we continued climbing, the rocky terrain started making us work a little harder. We took our time rather than trying to finish the trail quickly.
For me, that's the best way to experience a morning hike.
Walk for a while, stop, look around, take a few photographs and continue.
As the sun started coming up, the landscape slowly changed. The morning light across the rocks and surrounding hills made the climb worth the effort.
Pennukonda isn't the kind of place where you need to rush from one viewpoint to another.
The climb itself is the experience.
By the time we reached the higher sections, the morning had properly started, and we could look back at the landscape we had just walked through.
What began as a simple morning hike turned into a refreshing way to start the day.
💡 Gypsy Overlanding Family Tip
Most of my adventures involve deserts, 4x4s and long drives, but a morning hike like Pennukonda reminds me that adventure doesn't always need an engine.
There is something refreshing about starting before sunrise, walking uphill while the world is still quiet and watching the landscape slowly light up.
Wake up early, put on your shoes and start walking.
Sometimes the best part of the day happens before everyone else wakes up.
