October to April is generally the most comfortable period for outdoor exploration in Musandam. Official Oman tourism information also highlights October–April as a good period for visiting attractions such as Khasab Fort.

🌅 Late afternoon is my favourite.

The softer sunlight brings out the texture of the cliffs and makes the sea look completely different from the middle of the day.

Early morning is also excellent if you prefer quieter roads and softer light.

🌦️ Weather

Musandam can be hot and humid during summer.

The coastal cliffs can also be exposed to strong winds, so take extra care near edges and avoid getting too close simply for a photograph.

The Khasab coastal road provides access to numerous sea and cliff viewpoints around the peninsula.

The Khasab–Tibat coastal route runs along the coast with rugged mountains on one side and the sea on the other.

If you're using a specific GPS point for your Khasab Cliff Sea View location, I'd recommend adding that coordinate to the page rather than relying on a generic map pin.

This is primarily a road-accessible viewpoint, so a 4x4 isn't necessarily required for the coastal road itself.

However, if you're combining the stop with Musandam mountain tracks, wadis or remote camping locations, a 4x4 is strongly recommended.

• Stay away from unprotected cliff edges.

• Don't stop in the middle of the road.

• Park only where it is safe and permitted.

• Watch for oncoming vehicles around bends.

• Carry water, especially outside winter.

• Don't leave rubbish behind.

• Respect local communities and restricted areas.

• Avoid driving mountain tracks without a suitable vehicle.
