E13 – Ghayathi to Madinat Zayed Desert Route

📍 About this Trail

The E13 connects Ghayathi and Madinat Zayed, making it an important road through Abu Dhabi's Western Region.

For us, roads like E13 are useful when planning a larger Western Abu Dhabi overlanding journey.

The interesting part isn't necessarily the highway itself.

It's what lies beyond it.

Once you leave the main road and head towards the desert, the landscape opens up dramatically. The towns become smaller, traffic disappears and the huge desert landscape starts taking over.

If you're travelling towards Liwa or connecting several Western Region locations, E13 can become part of a longer road-trip route.

It's also a useful route for reaching fuel, food and other supplies before heading towards remote desert camping areas.
